Oakland Raiders Cut Running Back Trent Richardson
Although they signed him this off-season, the Oakland Raiders cut running back Trent Richardson this week, reports ESPN.
The move came just one day before the league-mandated deadline for teams to cut their rosters to 75 players.
The Raiders signed Richardson in March and gave him$600,000 in guaranteed money after he was cut by the Indianapolis Colts.
The 25-year-old missed the first part of the Raiders' training camp, due to pneumonia. And, during this preseason, he didn't do well, finishing with 19 yards on five carries in a 30-23 loss.
Richardson's release leaves an opening at the running back position.
