McDonald’s Declines Burger King’s Proposal For A “McWhopper”
Following Burger King's public proposal of a collaborative burger last week, McDonald's has decided to decline the offer.
BK had suggested the two fast-food chains come together to celebrate Internation Peace Day on September 21st with a hybrid burger called the "McWhopper," merging the respective brands' signature menu items.
McDonald's responded via Facebook, saying that while it was a "great idea" for a "good cause," McD's thinks both brands can collab some "something bigger."
"Inspiration for a good cause... great idea," the statement from McDonald's CEO Steve reads. "We love the intention but think our two brands could do something bigger to make a difference. We commit to raise awareness worldwide, perhaps you’ll join us in a meaningful global effort?"
Maybe the McWhopper might come to frution after all?
