Will Smith Planning “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air” Reboot
Will Smith is going back to Bel-Air. That's right, the actor is planning a reboot of the TV series that made him a star, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
According to TVLine, Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment is working on a remake of the classic '90s sitcom, which will be updated for present-day.
Smith would serve as executive producer alongside his Overbrook producing partners James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett, and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
During the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Thursday (August 13), NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said that he'd "be happy to talk to Will [Smith] about it."
The original Fresh Prince ran for six seasons on NBC from 1990-1996.
