50 Cent Claims His Lifestyle Is All For Show, Only Worth $4M

50 Cent

50 Cent, who has been long considered one of the wealthiest moguls in hip-hop, says the lifestyle people see... is all fake.

According to Page Six, the rapper was ordered to testify about his finances in Manhattan Supreme court Tuesday morning (July 21), where he claimed his lifestyle was all for show... like rappers portray in music videos.

"It's like music videos, they say action and you see all these fancy cars, but everything goes back to the dealership," 50 Cent said in his testimony, where he was all smiles for the jury.

"Those cars are rented," he said, regarding the fleet of Lamborghinis, Bentleys and Rolls-Royces he's seen driving in.

Well, what about the jewelry? Borrowed, 50 Cent claimed. In court, he said he actually owns just three gold chains, which he has a jeweler customize into a new piece every so often.

50 filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this month, claiming he's over $28.4 million in debt -- including recent lawsuits such as a $5 million judgement over a sex tape of Lastonia Leviston, the mother of rapper Rick Ross' child; and over $18 million to Sleek Audio, who claims he stole technology to build his SMS headphones line.

The rapper said he's worth no more than $4.4 million, claiming he only made 10 cents/each from the 38 million albums sold throughout his career, totaling $3.8 million.

However, Forbes estimated, back in May, that his net worth wa somewhere around $155 million.

That's a pretty big gap from 155 million to 4.4 million. Freaking Forbes...

Do you REALLY think he only has $4 million like he says?! He's making shit up so he doesn't have to pay for all those lawsuits, he owned his own clothing line, shoe line, record label, video games, condoms, vitamin water, etc, don't believe nothing here.

its called a paper shuffle, talk to a good lawyer and accountant @1500 per hour you can make it look like how you want

They aint no way that Curtis Jackson is going to go into court and lie about what he has. There is a Dream Team of creditors willing and able to come through everything he has to ensure the veracity of his and his lawyers statements. Under Oath. Dummies in the street may think they 'smart' to lie in court, but I don't count 50 as one of those dummies.

People like to pull the 'rich person get outta jail or paying debts free card' and that does happen to a point. But that BS didn't help Martha Stewart or Wesley Snipes or a bunch of other rich folk. There aint no win here for 50 saying that he is worth 4.4 million, only to come out down the line and is found out he has 60 million stashed away somewhere. They will find it. They always find it. And then that will really be his ass.

He can pull all his assets under someone else's name, it's called beating the system lol

  • Makadam

lol That don't even make sense. He put in under someone else's name, guess what...tax evasion for the win!!!! You can put it under a business name (which he already filed for bankrupty on), but someone else??? 50 ain't trying to go to jail. We all see how Suge handling it. When you try and beat the system, you can't pick things that have been tried and failed many times in the past. Like I said before, 50 aint no dummy like that. He aint the one.
