Landmark UFC 200 Event Set For July 2016 In Las Vegas

UFC 100: Lesnar vs Mir

The UFC announced this week that its landmark UFC 200 event will be hosted at the newly constructed MGM-AEG Arena on the Las Vegas Strip on July 2, 2016.

UFC president Dana White announced the event on Friday (July 17). The promotion has historically held some of its most significant events in July, including UFC 100 on July 11, 2009, which remains the most-bought pay-per-view in UFC history.

That event featured a headlining bout between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir.

"Every year, we just want to make this thing bigger and bigger," said White.

No fights have been announced for the UFC 200 card.
