Rajon Rondo Joins Kings On One-Year Deal

Rajon Rondo

After a brief stint with the Dallas Mavericks last season, Rajon Rondo joins the Sacramento Kings.

According to ESPN, the free-agent point guard signs with Sacramento on a one-year deal worth $9.5 million.

Rondo's run in Dallas didn't go well. He bumped heads with coach Rick Carlisle during a game in February, where they two got into a shouting match that resulted in him being benched.

A day later, he left the team due to a previously undisclosed back injury, though sources later confirmed was a cover-up for a mutual decision for Rondo and the team to part ways.

Rondo was sent to the Mavs in December, as the centerpiece of a blockbuster trade with the Boston Celtics.

The Kings hope things go different.
