Tyga Sold Just 2K Copies Of “The Gold Album?” Rapper Responds
Tyga surprised fans last week, when he dropped his long delayed project, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, on Spotify.
Since then, Complex dug up sales numbers... finding that the project did a paltry 2,200 units.
After hearing about it, Tyga took to Twitter to reply to report, claiming the album was released for free, due to "label problems", with no focus on selling it.
"Yall mfs is funny. I put my album out myself for free on spotify, soundcloud, YouTube to stream," he tweeted.
"Didn't plan on selling it Kuz of label problems. It's a dope album. Got a lot of great feedback and millions of streams."
