Anthony Davis, Pelicans Agree To $145 Million Extension
Anthony Davis ain't going nowhere. The star forward has agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans that keeps him in NOLA long term.
According to ESPN, both sides have agreed to a five-year extension estimated at nearly $145 million that will kick in starting with the 2016-17 season and run through Davis' 28th birthday.
Davis revealed the news via Twitter shortly after the free agency window for negotiations opened after midnight ET.

The five-year deal, which includes a provision that allows him to opt out after Year 4, will make the 22-year-old New Orleans' designated player.
