First Look At The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC

Following the debut of the GLC Coupe Concept in April, Mercedes-Benz officially unveils its successor to the now defunct GLK: the 2016 GLC.

The new GLC comes in both 4Matic and RWD options and features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that boasts 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

The draw, however, will be the interior size, as it features a longer wheelbase and more spacious cabin than its predecessor, with 20.5 cubic feet of space available for cargo behind the second row of seats.
Additional features includes a Dynamic Select system, allowing drivers to choose between Comfort, Sport and Sport+ drive modes. The Sport and Sport+ modes lowers the suspension up to almost a full inch for a more aggressive driving experience, while the added Eco mode provides improved fuel economy and Individual mode will give drivers complete control over the vehicles various adjustments.

Pricing is unknown, but the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC will make its debut this November.

It is unfortunate that the new GLC does not offer the 300+ hp engine when it is introduced. The 241 hp engine may not be sufficient for most drivers.

I am concerned that the 241 hp engine at the time of introduction will not be sufficient for most drivers.
