1990s Rapper MC Supreme Killed In Car Crash
1990s rapper MC Supreme passed away over the weekend, following a fatal car accident in Malibu, Calif. He was 47.
According to Variety, the rapper (real name: Dewayne Lawrence Coleman) was sitting in a his Honda Civic with a woman on the shoulder of the Pacific Coast Highway Saturday morning (June 13) when a pickup truck slammed into the vehicle.
His car rolled into an embankment above the beach, while the pickup hit another parked car on the shoulder with two passengers in it, both of whom are uninjured.
Supreme was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman he was with was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Her injuries are currently unknown.
The driver of the pickup was arrested after the crash on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
MC Supreme is best known for the 1990 track, "Black In America," featured on the anti-violence compilation album, We're All In The Same Gang.
