Los Angeles-based streetwear label, DOPE Couture, is slated to released a Fall 2013 capsule collection inspired by rapper Cam'ron, dubbed "DopeSet."
The collection consists of a pair of black snaps, one featuring the word "HAZE" in purple branded on the front panel, while the other featuring Cam's alias "KILLA" in white; a range of t-shirts, featuring classic phrases like "YOU MAD"; and a single tie-back cap that reads "DOPE" in the rapper's trademark pink.
The DOPE Couture Cam'ron capsule will be limited to just 100 pieces per style, and available at their Los Angeles flagship and online this Saturday (October 5).
Despite how it looks, Cam says he "didn't co-sign this."
DOPE responded by releasing a photo (below) of what looks to be a contract between themselves and Cam with his alleged signature.
The rapper told KarenCivil.com that the collaboration was set up by his manager, and he knew nothing about it.
"I didn't cosign on the artwork or the designs. I'm not going to allow [DOPE] to have had conversations with my manager a year and a half ago about doing something because their company is in trouble, and now they see that I'm doing good in fashion, they think they just gon' throw this out there. I'm not co-signing that. I'll put it on Instagram and everything that I'm not doing it."
