Los Angeles Lakers Place Billboards Asking Dwight Howard To ‘Stay’
The Los Angeles Lakers are making a push for Dwight Howard to stay, as he enters off-season free agency.
The L.A. franchise has rolled out a series of billboards around the city, as well as a massive banner on the side of Staples Center -- all featuring the NBA star, and a single word: "STAY."
The billboards also feature the Lakers logo, and the hashtag, #STAYD12.
ESPN.com reports that there is around "six or seven" billboards around the city, each being placed in "various key locations", all in an attempt to persuade Howard to return, said spokesman John Black.
Black also said the team will also take out a full-page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times.
