In a close game, full of high flying dunks and a boatload of threes, the West walked away the with the victory in Houston on Sunday evening (February 17) at the 2013 NBA All-Star Game, edging out the East 143-138. Leading the way was ... Chris Paul.
CP3 made the biggest impact among all players, finishing with 20 points (four 3-pointers) and 13 assists to lead his conference to victory ... and earned himself MVP honors -- the first time an L.A. Clipper has achieved the feat. Also, with at least 20 points and 15 assists, he becomes just the third player, joining Hall Of Famers, Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas.
"In games like this, it's so up-tempo and fast-paced," Paul said after the game. "A guy like me, that's a facilitator, I enjoy (it)."
Other contributors in the West included OKC's Kevin Durant, who poured in 30, while Kobe Bryant had 2 huge blocks on Lebron James, as the pair dueled all evening. On the East, Carmelo Anthony collected 26 points and 12 rebounds, Dwyane Wade added 21 points and 7 assists, and James scored 19 and 5 dimes.
