Rick Ross ‘Staying Positive’ Since January Shooting
Rick Ross has been absent from the spotlight since being shot at in late January, but he re-surfaced at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (January 10) ... and briefly discussed the shooting.
While on the red carpet, MTV News' Sway Calloway caught up with the Miami rap star, who said he revealed the suspects are still at large. "[There are] no suspects and we not here to speculate on any suspects," Ross said. "I'm just staying positive, I'm moving forward and I'm just staying on top of my game."
Ross, however, did admit that he's made some changes to protect himself. "You most definitely gotta make some adjustments, but at the same time, I'mma live my life and I'mma do what I love to do, and that's make music."
On January 28, a gunman opened fire on the rapper's car in the wee hours of the morning, as he made his way home (Ft. Lauderdalde) from a birthday celebration in Miami. Reports said more than two dozen bullets were fired at Ross' car, causing him to crash into a nearby building, but thankfully, he escaped unharmed. Police have yet to identify a suspect.
The news stirred up theories that the shooting was an ellaborate hoax for publicity, being that his vehicle seemed to missed all the flying bullets.
