Hip-hop mogul, Russell Simmons, is ultra-successful, so with power comes ... secret society rumors.
Much like Jay-Z, Beyonce and other hip-hop elites, Uncle Russ has also been accused of being a member of the elitist secret society known as the Illuminati.
TMZ cameras caught up with him while in Los Angeles, and he answered those questions, laughing off those accusations by saying the group doesn't exist, adding: "Are you kidding me? I'm a grown f***ing man!"

Simmons is using a strawman argument. The illuminati was
a real thing. Thats an undisputed historical fact. It was only a regional
branch of a larger system but is famous for being caught. The doctrines of the
illuminati have always existed and manifested themselves throughout human
history and still to this day. However it is wrong to say that pop stars are
"in the illuminati" because they feature some occult symbolism. I
suspect they just follow fashion trends and know nothing about it.
