As most brands have done, Jordan celebrates 2013's Chinese calendar with a Year of the Snake collection. The brand revealed, this week, that they will be rolling out YOTS versions of the Melo M9 and Air Jordan 1 High next week.
The special edition sneakers draw inspirational cues from a snake's sixth sense-like ability to detect body temperature and environmental changes in its prey, bringing the creature's heat sensory story to life through rich colors and materials.
Both share rich color palettes that include Blacken Blue/Bright Citrus/Hyper Red/Raspberry Red/Deep Royal Blue and Volt. The Air Jordan 1 High YOTS uses a gradient outsole and upper, featuring both suede and patent leather with distinct colors to symbolize the effects of temperature change.
The Jordan Brand 2013 YOTS Air Jordan 1 High and Melo M9 sneakers will retail for $280 each, and will be available February 9th.
