Since being shot at on Monday (January 28), Rick Ross wants to ensure his safety, so he's hired 24-hour armed personal security to do so.
The Miami rap star crashed into a building in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at around 5AM Monday morning, as he tried to evade a gunman in another vehicle who let off "dozens" of shots into his Rolls-Royce.
Rozay and a female passenger walked away unscathed, but now, the rapper wants to make sure he stays that way. According to TMZ.com, he has hired a full-time security detail. He already used armed bodyguards for protection at major events.
Sources close to Ross tell TMZ that he had been receiving threats for some time, but wasn't too concerned. Now, he considers the shooting to be an "eye-opener".
