Air Jordan 5 White/Fire Red-Black 2013

Before the Air Jordan II 88 Retros drop in February, Jordan Brand is set to bring back the white/fire red-black colorway of the Air Jordan 5.

Last seen in 2008, the shoe was designed by Tinker Hatfield with inspiration from the WWII Mustang fighter plane and originally worn by Michael Jordan in 1990, when he earned his fourth-straight NBA scoring title.

The 2013 retro comes without the Jordan's "23" branding, and a white leather upper alongside translucent mesh overlays, a translucent blue outsole, a reflective 3M tongue, and a combination of black and red accents throughout.

TheAir Jordan 5 White/Fire Red-Black will retail for $160 and is set to drop at Jordan Brand retailers on Saturday (Janaury 26).

Hey Jay, this is my first time ever trying to buy a pair of Jordan's on release day. I had these in 4th grade and have been looking to buy a new pair of Jordan's for awhile and am looking forward to these. Can you help me answer a few questions?

Do you think I need to wait in line early in the morning (get there super early or tonight) to get these? I just got to CA last night from NYC so I gotta find out exactly where they are going to be released.

Should I go figure out what size I am today trying other Jordan's on?

Is this a limited release and will sell out fast?

My friend says I can order online. True or false?

    Thanks

Hi, I am going to try and help as I am back in the sneaker came, I am not in California, but I think my advice will be helpful, I am in Phoenix.

    1) Do you think I need to wait in line early in the morning (get there super early or tonight) to get these?

Yes, you need to get there when the Mall opens. Our mall here (phoenix) opens at 6 am, because old folks like to walk the mall. I spoke to the manager at the shoe store and he said to get here at 6am, and wait in line, they open at 8 am.

Depending on your location, not all shoes get the same amount of stock, so, you would definitely have to wait in line to get retro Jordans, the shoe store manager assured me.

    2) Should I go figure out what size I am today trying other Jordan's on?

Yes, you don't wanna be trying on sizes, when people in line, know their size and they are ready to buy. Since I don't play ball in my Jordan Retro's I have a size range, for example, 11.5 or 12 is my range.

    3) Is this a limited release and will sell out fast? I am not sure about limited or not, I know the shoe stores get a certain amount, and not sure how often they get new orders.

If I were you, I would call the finish line's, champs and foot lockers, in the mall closest. Getting up at 6am (most likely when you mall opens) and waiting for an hour or two will guarantee you a pair, I would say.

    Good Luck!

Thanks so much. I didn't really expect anyone to help me out. Its been so hard to find info on how to buy Air Jordan's. I tried to buy them online at 5am but didn't get them so I waited in line at my local mall that had a house of hoops and got them!! I tried on sizes yesterday of other nikes.
You guys are awesome. Made my day getting these shoes. I had these one's in elementary school and wanted some new shoes and since I saw that these were coming out a few weeks ago I was really looking forward to trying to get these.
Thanks again, I hope you guys get some good karma coming back your way.
