Bulleit Bourbon, a bourbon first concocted in 1830, recently rolled out their newest offering: the Bulleit 10.
Announced as the brand's selected reserve, the new bourbon boasts russet color, and is rich with oaky aromas, hints of vanilla and dried fruit with a long smoky finish. The company touts the whiskey as "an incredibly smooth sipping experience, yet maintains the inherent character and high rye content for which the Bulleit brand is best known."
The Bulleit 10 is aged 10 years in charred American white oak. It was set aside for a decade to see how it would develop, and when they finally opened the barrels, the distillers were pleasantly surprised.
"I may be biased, but I think Bulleit Bourbon is incredible at its traditional age of five to eight years," said Tom Bulleit, great-great-grandson of the original creator, Augustus Bulleit. "But, it's exciting to see what happened to a select number of barrels aged a little longer. The result was a special expression of our family's bourbon that exceeded our expectations and we knew we had to bottle it and share it with our loyal fans."
Bulleit 10 comes in their iconic frontier-inspired bottle with a beige label that prominently showcases the liquid's age. Additionally, it comes encased in premium box display that creatively outlines the Bulleit family story and Tom's inspiration for fine bourbon.
"Bulleit 10 is a very limited and special opportunity to responsibly enjoy the bourbon in a refined expression," Bulleit continued. "We are eager to see its receptivity and are making it available for as long as the supply lasts."
Bulleit 10 is available now, nationwide, for a pricetag of $44.99 for a 750 ml bottle. For more info, visit BulleitBourbon.com.
