Here it is, the Chevrolet hits us with official imagery of their 2014 Corvette Stingray, after weeks of teases.
The iconic sports car returns for the first time in several decades, though a concept version was unveiling during the 2009 Chicago Auto Show for its 50th anniversary.
The upcoming model boasts an all-new LT1 small-block V8 engine, churning out 450 horsepower and 450 pound feet of torque, allowing it to do 0-60 mph in under four seconds. It is also expected to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette, exceeding the EPA-estimated 26 mpg of the current model.
As far as design, the 2014 Stingray offers a more aggressive look with premium styling on the inside, including aluminum and optional carbon fiber accents.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe goes on sale in the third quarter of 2013.
