The pregnancy news of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's made international headlines Sunday evening (December 30), when the hip-hop star decided to go public during a concert in Atlantic City.
Now, Kim has taken to her blog (KimKardashian.com) to confirm the news, via a post titled "New Year, New Beginnings."
"It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby," she writes. "We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo"
According to Kim, the public weren't the only ones caught off guard by the announcement, so was she. She says she had "no idea" Kanye was going to reveal the news during his show at Revel in Atlantic City. He was caught up in the moment because their family and friends were in attendance.
According to TMZ, the baby was conceived in October during Kim and Kanye’s trip to Italy to celebrate Kim’s 32nd birthday. She is about 12 weeks pregnant.
