25 years after the introduction of the Air Max 1, Nike is celebrating with the release of updated version of each iconic silhouette in the Air Max family, and introducing a new one.
As showcased in new teaser trailer, dubbed "Air Reinvented," the shoe giant is prepping the Air Max 2013. While retaining the traditional sport-inspired aesthetics, the new model is packed with performance updates, including full-length air bag, Nike's Hyperfuse upper to make it lightweight and breathable, and the Nike Dynamic Flywire to keep the wearer's foot secure.
The original Nike Air Max 1 was released in 1987. Since then, the Nike Air Max continued to be updated with the latest innovations and technologies, paving the way for new iterations featuring a signature visible air unit. From leather and synthetic uppers to full-length air, the Nike Air Max has become a cultural icon.
In 2013, Nike will update the Air Max 1, 90, 95 and 97 versions using the modern technologies of today.
