Public Enemy has officially joined the likes of music's greats by being voted into the 2013 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

After being nominated earlier this year, the legendary hip-hop outfit will be officially inducted during a ceremony in April, alongside Heart, Randy Newman, Rush, Albert King and Donna Summer.

Additionally, Lou Adler and Quincy Jones will both receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers.

N.W.A. was also nominated, but it looks like they'll have to wait, at least, another year before being added.

With their induction, P.E. becomes the fourth hip-hop act to be included in the Hall. Previously, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Public Enemy and Run-DMC were honored with inductions.

The induction ceremony goes down on April 18, 2013 at the Nokia Theater and will broadcast on HBO on May 18th.
