We got the first trailer for the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi thriller, After Earth, on Monday (December 10), which stars actor Will Smith alongside his real-life son Jaden, as a father-son duo who are stranded after a crash landing.
According to the film's synopsis, the movie takes place on Earth, 1,000 years after humans fled it because of "cataclysmic events."
"With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash," the synopsis continues. "Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home."
