Renowned tattoo artist/muralist, Mister Cartoon, was recently tapped to design a billboard for the upcoming crime film, Gangster Squad, starring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone, and Sean Penn.
The Los Angeles icon unveiled the billboard, as well as blessed one of the walls at Platinum Motorsports (located on Sunset Blvd) on Thursday (December 6) with a piece/mural of his name.
Shot throughout L.A. County, the film is a chronicle of the LAPD's fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s. Gangster Squad hits theaters nationwide on January 11, 2013.
