Album Charts: Rihanna Debuts At #1 With ‘Unapologetic’
Rihanna finally crowns the charts with her 7th studio album. She beats out Taylor Swift, One Direction, and Phillip Phillips for this week's top slot.
Debuting at #1 this week is Rihanna with Unapologetic, selling 238,000 copies in its first week of release. The album includes guest appearances from Eminem, Future, David Guetta, Mikky Ekko, and Chris Brown. She also enlists the production talents of The-Dream, Chase & Status, David Guetta, and Benny Blanco among others. Along with her #1 album she also has the #1 single this week, this makes her the second artist this year to lead both of Billboard's ranking categories.
Rounding out the top ten is Keyshia Cole with Woman to Woman debuting at #10, selling 96,000 copies. This is the 5th studio album for the Oakland, California singer and first since 2010's Calling All Hearts. The new album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Ashanti, Elijah Black, and Robin Thicke.
In at #14 Pitbull debuts Global Warming, selling 64,325 copies. It includes 16 new tracks with guest appearances from Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Akon, Enrique Iglesias among others.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 25) totaled 9.74 million units, up 44% compared with the sum last week (6.76 million) and down less than 1% compared with the comparable sales week of 2011 (9.78 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 267.79 million, down 4% compared with the same total at this point last year (278.72 million).
