After scoring her 12th No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Diamonds," Rihanna finally earns her first #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Unapologetic.

According to Nielsen SoundScan the album sold 238,000 copies in its first week of release, bringing the artist her best sales week for an album. The new project, released November 19, surpasses her previous best week for 2010's Loud, which sold 207,000 copies in its first week.

Rihanna has had 12 #1 songs on the Billboard top 100 since 2005, but the #1 album has eluded her until now. She has tied Madonna and The Supremes for the fourth most #1 songs of all time. Only being beat out by the Beatles (with 20), Mariah Carey (with 18), and Michael Jackson (with 13) have scored more.
