Although most fans are focused on his "Return," as they watch the campaign Adidas has been running, where the top bet is to track his comeback following injury last season, Derrick Rose has been waiting on "the arrival..." of his first son.
The 24-year-old NBA superstar shared the first images of his infant son this week, via Twitter (@DRose), with longtime girlfriend Mieka Reese, who happens to be the niece of former NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway.
The couple had worked hard to keep the pregnancy under wraps, writes NBA.com's Hangtime Blog, but apparently Rose was just too proud of a papa to not share the joy with the world.
The infant is reportedly named Derrick Jr., but in the tweets, he refers to his baby boy as P.J. Either way, congrats to the new parents.
Fans hope Rose is back in the Chicago Bulls lineup by February or March. Stay tuned...
