Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber teamed up together for their recently released music video for "Beauty and a Beat", and the clip set a new record ... for the most views in 24 hours on VEVO.
VEVO unveiled the news via Twitter (@VEVO), writing: "Congrats @justinbieber & @NICKIMINAJ! #BAAB24hrRecord is YOURS! Most @VEVO views in 24 hours!"
The video, which racked up 10.6 million views in 24 hours, is a homemade-style clip comprised of footage of Bieber on tour, hanging out, and relaxing with Nicki at a water park. At press time, it had over 24 million million views.
"hey @nickiminaj – thanks for being a part of this. :) #HISTORY," Bieber tweeted (@JustinBieber).
"Beauty and a Beat" beat out the previous record holder, British-Irish boy band One Direction's "Live While We're Young," which registered 8.2 million views in 24 hours.
Bieber's new single apears on his latest album, Believe, which also features Drake, Ludacris, and Big Sean.
