Rihanna Announces Dates For 2013 ‘Diamonds World Tour’

She just opened the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards with a performance and also took home Video of the Year honors, and now, Rihanna keeps things going with the announcement of the "Rihanna Diamonds World Tour", set to take off in 2013.

The forthcoming, North American tour kicks off on March 8, 2013 in Buffalo, New York. From there, the arena trek continues through May, stopping in 27 cities including Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, Brooklyn, and Chicago, with additional dates to be announced.

Tickets go on sale Friday, September 14, at LiveNation.com.

Rihanna's previous tour, the extremely successful "LOUD" Tour solidified her status as one of the top female solo artists of this century. It grossed $90 million worldwide to become the 7th highest-grossing tour of 2011 and included a historic 10 sold out concerts at London's O2 Arena -- a first by a female solo artist.

Rihanna is reportedly working on a follow-up to her 2011 album, Talk That Talk. Details were unknown at press time.
