Album Charts: ‘Now 43’ Compilation Dethrones Rick Ross On Billboard 200
Rick Ross fell to #2 this week on the Billboard 200, thanks to the latest installment of the Now That's What I Call Music! compilation franchise.
The Now 43 album lands at #1 with 111,000 copies sold. It's the franchise's 16th #1 album... and all LPs have reached, at least, the top 10 except the first one.
Last week's #1, Rick Ross' God Forgives, I Don't, slips to #2 with 60,000 and a 73% decline in sales.
Singer/songwriter Elle Varner makes strong debut at #4 with Perfectly Imperfect, selling 33,000 to start. The album includes Varner's two hit singles, "Only Wanna Give It To You" (featuring J. Cole) and "Refill."
Nas' Life Is Good lands at #12 this week, selling 19,000, taking its total to 245,000.
Outside the top 20, Miami hip-hop band ¡Mayday! lands at #124 with their seven-song digital EP, Thrift Store Halos, which sells just under 3,000 units to start.
