Lupe Fiasco: Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free) (Music Video)

Lupe Fiasco drops the official music video for his new single "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)", the first off his upcoming Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, due in September.

The song sparked controversy after dropping in May, when producer Pete Rock lashed out about its sample of his classic 1992 track "They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)". The producer later explained why he was angry, admitting that Lupe reached out prior to the song's release, but hoped he would've been move involved in its making. However, he said there was no love lost for the Chicago emcee.

Despite the dispute, Lupe pushes on.

In the Alex Nazari-directed clip, the rapper makes his way around his hometown of Chicago, as he rhymes about social-political ills in Ghana and corruption in the oil industry, among other issues.

Food & Liquor 2 is slated to drop September 25.
