Chris 'Lewds' Natalio

Streetwear vets, Crooks & Castles, suffered big blow sometime this weekend, when longtime family member Chris "Lewds" Natalio passed away. He was just 36 years of age.

While details regarding his death were unknown at press, word spread via Twitter on Saturday (June 2) with peers and colleagues expressing their disbelief. Even superstars like Bun B and Drake, who've rocked the brand in the past, offered their condolences.

"RIP Chris Lewds. Always held everybody down and repped Crooks to the fullest. Days are too long life is too short," Drizzy tweeted (@Drake).

"To my @crooksncastles family on the west, the east, Hawaii and worldwide, my condolences and prayers go out to you for your loss my brothers," Texas rap legend Bun B wrote (@BunBTrillOG).

Lewds served as the brand's Marketing Director, and one of the original individuals who saw the Crooks & Castles' rise since the beginning.

Below is the official statement from Crooks & Castles co-founder Dennis Calvero:

To our dearest friends and family,

It is with the deepest sadness for us to announce that our Brother, Christopher Natalio aka "Luda" has passed away. I'm sure at some point in his life he touched many of yours, created many bonds and relationships with, but none can describe the one that he and I had. He was my best friend for more than 2 decades. He was my Rock, my go to guy, my Robin, my better half and most of all my Brother. He was the Captain of Our crew and the glue to the company We built together.

He leaves behind His biggest creation ever, his Son C.J. "Siege" Natalio, My God Son who I promise along with all his uncles to look after and help guide on his way to manhood.

Rob, Myself and the entire Crooks Family are truly heart broken from his sudden passing and want to thank you all for your continued support.

We will be creating the Christopher Natalio Foundation to support Siege and the Natalio Family.

Chris, I miss you so much. I love you and I can only imagine why God took you from us so early. I will always need you in my life, this one or the next one you move on to. Please continue to look over Me, Siege, your God Daughter Cassidee and your Squad who will miss you dearly.
