Lil Kim caught up with Power 105.1's morning radio show, The Breakfast Club, last week ... and she broke down how and when her beef with Nicki Minaj all started.
She claimed that she had been in talks with both Slim and Birdman about a deal with Cash Money Records in the past, but it eventually fell through. However, during their time together, she recorded various songs for the label which Kim says they used to launch Nicki's career instead of focusing on hers.
The Breakfast Club's DJ Envy questioned Birdman about Kim's claims on MTV's "Sucker Free" this week, and he denied them.
"Wow. Nah, ain't no truth to that," the Cash Money co-founders said. "I mean, we based on creativity. If you know about YMCMB, and you've ever followed us or been a part of our music, biting and stealing? That sh** just aint' for us. All that rap war ... all that, we ain't ... we just grinding for the money -- sun up, sun down. It's Nicki Minaj all day, every day."
