 Imagine this: years into the future (or even soon), your phone rings. Maybe you can't hear it, but you know its ringing because your tattoos are vibrating.
Sounds like some weird science fiction sh** right? It could happen one day. Maybe even soon.
According to CBS Seattle, telecommunications giant Nokia has filed a patent application for what is described as a "ferromagnetic tattoo" that will transfer "a perceivable stimulus to the skin, wherein the perceivable stimulus relates to the magnetic field."
Basically, the tattoo would actually vibrate when its owner's phone rings.
The report says Nokia has also considered the fact that some may not want an actual tattoo, so the patent also includes a removable material that attaches to the skin and does the same thing.
Right now, it's just an idea, and as of press time, the company has yet to announce a device its attached to or when it might be released.
