Rasheed Wallace Close To Signing With Los Angeles Lakers: Report
Rasheed Wallace retired from the NBA in the summer of 2010, following 15 seasons in the league, but he may be making a comeback ... with reports that he may end up with the Los Angeles Lakers soon.
According to The Detroit News, the 37-year-old basketball player is close to signing a free agent contract with the Lakers.
However, it's unknown when this signing would take place.
Wallace, who won an NBA Champsionship as a member of the Detroit Pistons back in 2004, last played with the Boston Celtics during the 2009-10 season, losing to the Lakers in seven games during the 2010 Finals.
After the season, he was a free agent, but chose to retire.
Apparently, it was too soon for him, as he contemplates a return.
Wallace is a four-time All-Star, who played 1,088 career games for five different teams, averaging 14.6 points and 6.7 rebounds.
