Murs Announces Full 2012 Paid Dues Line-Up, Adds Mac Miller & Three 6 Mafia

By Allen Starbury   |   Published 02/20/12

MursEvent organizers Guerilla Union and hip-hop vet Murs announced the final and full line-up of their upcoming 2012 Paid Dues Independent Hip-Hop Festival last week, revealing the additions of Mac Miller, Three 6 Mafia, Brother Ali and others.

If you've read previous press releases, then you know the additions to join headliners Wu-Tang Clan and Odd Future for this year's exciting line-up.

"With the tremendous growth in independent hip-hop every year, there is more and more amazing talent to choose from," said festival co-founder, Murs. "And as the spectrum broadens the goal of Paid Dues is to continue to be a platform that showcases every facet of the movement.

"With 50 artists spread out across three stages, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone," he continued. "I'd personally like to thank all of our fans, supporters and sponsors for helping us make it to our seventh Paid Dues. We are all looking forward to another safe and successful year."

The seventh installment of Paid Dues is ane all-day, all-ages event, highlighting some of the most eminent independent artists. The festival will take place on April 7 the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA.

Discussing the variety of artists on the line-up, Murs adds: "We've got performers on the bill ranging from young artists like Mac Miller who, despite taking the mainstream by storm, has chosen to stay independent to Paid Dues mainstay and arguably one of the best performers in the game, Brother Ali. We also have underground godfathers Juicy J and DJ Paul known to many around the globe as the Academy Award-winning group Three 6 Mafia. And finally, after a couple years of pursuit I personally am extremely happy to welcome Christian rap phenom and flat out dope lyricist Lecrae."
