In addition to recently revealing the lookbook to their forthcoming 2012 Spring/Summer collection, streetwear brand Black Scale has also announced an additional capsule collection with rising Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky.
The upcoming collection was influenced by the elements the rapper loved about the brand before he actually hooked up with them.
In an interview with Complex, the brand's co-founder Alfred explained how they hooked up with A$AP.
"Rocky has been a fan of Black Scale since before we actually met. It just so happened that I was working the sales floor the day he decided to come in and purchase items for his video shoot for "Purple Swag,' " the brand's owner said. "He had a great energy and was a genuinely nice guy. The video dropped and the relationship continued to grow organically. The response was so overwhelming that it made sense to do a collabo."
The collection is comprised of two tee designs, a crewneck, a hoodie, and caps -- each of which come in two colorways. They boast A$AP's lettering and US flag from his popular new mixtape, Live.Love.A$AP.
The A$AP Rocky x Black Scale capsule collection is set to drop in March. For more info, visit Black-Scale.com.
