Wiz Khalifa has been enjoying his success, after a breakout year in 2011 ... and is dishing small details about his upcoming sophomore album, which is titled O.N.I.F.C..
In an interview on Shade 45's "Swag In The Morning", the Pittsburgh rapper confirmed the title and speculation over what the acronym stood for.
"It's the 'Only N-Word in First Class,' " Wiz said (according to MTV), while also revealing the inspiration. "It's inspired by Prodigy's H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong."
The title takes a page from the Mobb Deep spitter's 2000 debut, which stood for "Head N**** in Charge." Wiz's being "Only N**** In First Class."
Wiz also revealed the clean version title as well: One Night in First Class.
For Wiz, he tells Sway that the explicit title has so much more meaning. "I was just talking about me being a young, rich dude and being black," the rapper explained, before talking about his experience in airports. "It looks crazy to them when I walk up to them and show them my ticket or I'm going in priority seating, They're like 'You're sure?' "
He continued, saying that although he's usually happy and upbeat, there's a darker side of being a young black star. "It's a good feeling and then it's like a bad feeling because it's like, 'Damn, why do you feel like that about me.' "
Further details about O.N.I.F.C. are scarce. But, Wiz is said to have worked with Pharrell, Chris Brown, and Adam Levine on his highly anticipated next album.
There is currently no release date, but Wiz said the album is nearly done.
