Audi Announces Limited 2012 A1 Quattro

Audi fans for an early Christmas present, when the German automobile maker announced the A1 Quattro, a limited edition, high-performance version of their subcompact hatch-back, reports AutoBlog.com.

The 2012 A1 Quattro boasts the company's trademark all-wheel-drive system; a 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injected four-cylinder engine, used in their S3 model; 17-inch wheels; and a six-speed manual transmission.

The engines outputs 252 horsepower, offering a 70 hp improvement on the original A1 model.

Other technical specs are currently not available at press time.

The car is set to be released late next year, but will be limited to just 333 cars. Unfortunately it will not be available stateside.
