 In addition to dropping their new "NBA 2K12" title on consoles earlier this month, game publisher 2K Sports announced this month the release of the official app for the title on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
The app brings the popular NBA gaming title right to your fingertips.
"The iOS platform has become one of the most embraced platforms for gaming, and we wanted to give fans the chance to play NBA 2K12 with a tap of their finger -- anywhere and anytime," said Greg Thomas, president of product development for 2K Sports. "We're excited to bring the authentic 'NBA 2K' basketball experience to the mobile games market and we know fans will be too."
In "NBA 2K12," gamers can take the court with precision controls, an incredibly smooth frame-rate, and graphics that set the bar for iOS sports simulation titles. Additionally, the re-imagined control scheme offers user-friendly, touch-based gestures for passing, shooting and blocking, allowing the broadcast-style presentation to shine.
The "NBA 2K12" App includes all 30 NBA teams for play in full season and quick play modes, complete with real-life, 2010-11 rosters. Players can step into the shoes of "His Airness," Michael Jordan, and re-play some the greatest moments in his career in the Jordan Challenge mode. Featuring Game Center leaderboards, NBA 2K12 enables players to expand their social gaming experience by comparing achievements with friends, climbing global leaderboards, and more.
The app is available now at Apple's App Store for $4.99 (iPhone & iPod touch), and the HD version for $9.99 (iPad).
