Compton’s Problem Preps Release of New Street Album, ‘Hotels’
Compton rapper Problem is dropping his brand new street album, Hotels, to digital retailers next week ... following its free download release weeks earlier.
Teaming up with Tavon "Superstar A&R" Alexander (League Of Starz), the new album boasts his TyDolla$ign-assisted single "Double Dip", as well as "Potion" featuring E-40 and Bad Lucc.
The project was released as a free download a few weeks back, but the official deluxe edition hit iTunes and other digital retailers this week.
It is untagged and features four exclusive songs not released on the free version.
Hotels features guest appearances from Glasses Malone, Y.G, as well as the aforementioned as well. And, on the production side, Problem worked with Terrace Martin, TyDolla$ign, G Casso, and up-and-coming producer Tone Bone.
Problem made a name for himself over the past few years via his resume of writing credits for the likes of Snoop Dogg, among others, as well as his radio hit "I'm Toe Up", alongside Snoop, DJ Quik, Kurupt and Terrace Martin.
The rapper also inked a deal with Universal Republic back in early 2008. However, it's unknown if he's still with the label and/or moved on.
Hotels drops on September 13.
Problem is currently hard at work on his official album, WhatsTheProblem.
