If you're not familiar yet, the Sneaker Pimps tour is the world's largest annual touring sneaker hip-hop lifestyle exhibition ... and this year's event is almost upon us once again.
Sneaker Pimps is hitting the States for its 9th consecutive year, and as always, will boast over 1500 kicks on display, live art installations, vendor areas, music performances and lots of giveaways.
The 2011 Sneaker Pimps Tour will kick off an 8-city run in Los Angeles, before hitting the road and stopping in Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Washington DC, Chicago, Philly, and New York.
The kick off event will take place on September 3rd for an all-day event at the Avalon in Hollywood, Calif; which includes performances by Warner Bros. signee Rich Hil (son of fashion mogul, Tommy Hilfiger), Thurz (of U-N-I fame), The Dean's List, and Blake Carrington. The evening's headliner is yet to be announced.
Sneaker Pimps is also teaming up with the Rock The Bells Festival Series on select dates, which will featureperformances with Black Star, Raekwon + Ghostface and Mobb Deep.

Sneaker Pimps was founded in Sydney, Australia by Peter Fahey, and has traveled to more than 60 cities world-wide since 2003. It's featured the works of artists such as Futura, Dave White, Stash, Mister Cartoon and Shepard Fairey, as well as live skate demos with international pro teams such as Ice Cream, Nike SB, Zoo York and more.
