Nearly two weeks ago, NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco became the newest New England Patriot. However, he's still getting used to his new city ... and is taking an unusual approach to his living situation.
Instead of finding a new residence within the city, he plans to live with a fan. Yes, you heard right.
Ochocinco told ESPN this week that he wants to live with a fan for the first first week of the upcoming NFL season.
"I'm going to do something different, I'm actually going to stay with a fan for the first two, three weeks of the season," he said. "That should be fun, until I get myself acclimated and learn my way around."
The fan he's going to stay with is still undecided though, but there's one thing they must have -- an Xbox.
"I'm not sure how it's going to work, but they have to have Internet. They have to have Xbox," Ochocinco explained. "That's about it."
So far, he doesn't know his way around New England, but hopes a fan can show him around, because he doesn't like to find out the traditional ways, such as using a navigation device.
"The way I learn a new city is by traveling out, adventuring out, getting lost on purpose," said Ochocinco. "This past weekend, I was a little frustrated because I was lost for about an hour, an hour and 30 minutes, and I couldn't get where I needed to. (But) that's it. Boston, or actually heaven, has been good."
