Brooklyn rapper Gravy (real name: Jamal Woolard) has been grinding as a rapper on the underground for years, but got his big break in 2009 when he portrayed the late Notorious B.I.G. in the big screen biopic, "Notorious." Since then, however, we have heard much from him.
Gravy recently sat down with New York-based Forbez DVD for an extensive interview about a lot of things, including updates on where his career's at and what he's working on.
In part 1 of the clip (above), the rapper talks about his acting career, specifically his role in "Notorious." Gravy addresses haters who question why he got the role in the first place, why he felt he deserved it, the process he went through to perfect his portrayal of Biggie, and working with stars such as Angela Bassett and Diddy.
In part 2 (below), Gravy discusses his rap career -- from falling out with former manager Fendi (who also guided Nicki Minaj at the beginning of her rise), his relationship with Nicki, and his forthcoming album.
