Royce Da 5'9 is back on his grind...
Following the success of his #1 album with Eminem, as the duo Bad Meets Evil, the Detroit emcee announced this week the upcoming release of his fifth solo album, Success Is Certain, due out next month.
The 11-track album features guest appearances from Eminem, Travis Barker, Nottz, and Joe Budden, while production includes the Alchemist, Mr. Porter, DJ Premier, Em, and The Futuristiks.
"This project lets you know that I'm here, I'm back and there's nothing you can do, basically," Royce says.
In 2002, Royce dropped his first studio album, titled Rock City (Version 2.0). He went on to record three more critically acclaimed solo projects: 2004's Death is Certain, 2005's Independent's Day, and 2009's Street Hop. Then, just this June, the rapper re-upped with Eminem for the "long-time-coming" Bad Meets Evil EP, Hell: The Sequel. It topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, giving the rapper his first #1 album ever, and spawned two #1 singles with "Fast Lane" and "Lighters."
With Success is Certain approaching soon, the current single, "Writers Block" featuring Eminem, has already garnered a huge amount of support, as has the DJ Premier-produced "Second Place."
To celebrate August 9th release, Royce will perform at New York's S.O.B'S (204 Varick Street New York, NY 10014) that same day, his first headlining performance in NYC in years. Doors open at 7:30 PM/EST.
The final tracklist is as follows:

"Writer's Block" - ft. Eminem
"Merry Go Round"
"Where My Money"

"On The Boulevard" - ft. Nottz & Adonis
