Swizz Beatz Says He'll Be Loyal To DMX 'No Matter What'

Troubled rapper DMX, whose Arizona state prison stay was recently extended due to yet another drug violation, is finally set to be released on Tuesday (July 19) after a serving seven months behind bars.

Despite the rapper's long history with drugs, he still has some loyal industry friends. One being, super producer Swizz Beatz.

Swizzy recently spoke to AllHipHop about his working relationship with the DMX, whom helped put him on the map with his 1998 smash "Ruff Ryders Anthem", which the producer crafted at the age of just 17.

He says no matter what the hip-hop vet is going through, he will always remain loyal to his dog.

"I'll always work with DMX; that's my brother no matter what," Swizz tells AllHipHop. "X was a winner already. Now it's just a matter of getting that title back. Bottom line is, he's a winner. It's just on when he wants to win again; it's all up to him."

X (real name: Earl Simmons) was gearing up with his release last week, but ran into a little trouble. Reports revealed that the rapper hadn't been staying outta trouble while incarcerated, incurring several infractions since January.
Due to his write-ups, he was ordered to stay a little longer.

Prison officials cleared up the nature of his offense, shortly after they were report, explaining that the X had failed a drug test, and will be released on July 19, one week later than expected.

"He did not smuggle drugs into prison. He failed a drug test, I don't know what drugs he took, but that's it," a rep told MTV. "He was due to be released today but will now be released on July 19th."
