Benzino Arrested In Miami Beach For Reckless Driving, Threatening A Police Officer

BenzinoBenzino -- a rapper, and former co-owner of The Source magazine -- was arrested in Miami Beach last Friday (July 8), after threatening a police officer.

According to the Random Pixels, the rapper (real name: Raymond Scott) was pulled over after police witnessed him driving erratically. Once stopped, Zino allegedly threatened the officer.

After a search of the vehicle, cops found a specialized handgun, called an FN Five-Seven, that shoots rifle rounds. Zino was then arrested, and charged with reckless driving and "threats against a public servant."

His vehicle was also impounded.

Further details about the incident were unknown.

At press time, it was unclear if Benzino was jailed and/or released and due back in court at a later date.

He was last arrested in Miami Beach in 2001 on a various charges, including reckless driving, marijuana possession and battery.

Following the nearly decade-old arrest, Zino accused Miami police of racism and brutality.
