As promised, when he announced it in mid-June, Lil Wayne has dropped a brand new mixtape for fans, thanking them for their patience as he readies his highly anticipated Tha Carter IV.
Weezy dropped the mixtape, aptly titled Sorry 4 The Wait, on his official blog (WeezyThanxYou.com) late Tuesday (July 12) with the simple message: "As promised ... here it is."
The free 12-track release features the rap star on a slew of freestyles over some of the most popular beats of the moment -- including Meek Mill and Rick Ross' "Tupac Back," Drake's "Marvin's Room," Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci," Big Sean's "My Last," and Beyoncé's "Run the World (Girls)."
The YMCMB general even rhymes over Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" on the title track; while guest spots include Young Money's Gudda Gudda, and Lil B.
This is just an appetizer. Tha Carter IV is set to drops on August 29
