Lupe Fiasco Calls President Obama ‘The Biggest Terrorist’, Says Voting Is ‘Meaningless’
Lupe Fiasco has never been one to hold his tongue, no matter how controversial his words are, especially when its involving politics.
His latest comments may surprise many. In a recent interview with CBS News, the Chicago rapper lashes out at President Obama, even going as far as to call him the "biggest terrorist."
"In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America," Lupe tells CBS News' "What's Trending." "For me, I'm trying to fight the terrorism that's actually causing the other forms of terrorism.
"The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you, as a government, allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it's easy for us because it's really just some oil, which we can really get on our own."
He believes Obama isn't the best choice of leadership for the U.S. so much so that he admits -- on the song, ""Words I Never Said", from his latest album, Lasers -- that he didn't vote for him during the 2008 presidential election ... and doesn't plan to do so in the upcoming 2012 election either.
However, Lupe doesn't believe voting is actually pretty meaningless. He doesn't even take part.
"I don't vote. No I don't vote. I don't get involved in politics. It's meaningless. To be honest," said Lupe. "If I'm going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says, 'yeah I stand for this person,' then I have to take responsibility for everything he does cause that's just who I am as a human being. So politicians aren't going to do that because I don't want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere."
The reporter then asked him what would happen if no one voted at all, to which he replied, "Who knows. Let's try it out and see what happens."
